Hey splice, Is it a Ipod, Iphone or a Ipad?
If its either one of those above and you want to transfer movies, you have to download Itunes. Which is free software. You have to watch very carefully. Itunes will try to take over all the media files you have. Plus its not actually user friendly. You just have to play around with it.
When you download movies. Most of the time you get them as a AVI or a mpeg. They need to be converted to a mp4 which I believe Itunes can do automatically.
Are you trying to connect it by using a usb cable or are you trying to connect it wireless? Ipod will only do usb. Ipad and Iphone will do both. If you are trying to connect wireless, you need to go through the Iphone or Ipad wireless setting and let it look for the network and put in your ecryption key to allow it on the network.
