This may turn into a long post but I thought I'd share what I've been seeing which of course isnt on our news. We all know the situation with Iran but heres some things you may not be aware of. I'm gonna go back to January and show the build-up.

DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES -- The Obama administration is quietly working with Saudi Arabia and other Persian Gulf allies to speed up arms sales and rapidly upgrade defenses for oil terminals and other key infrastructure in a bid to thwart future military attacks by Iran, according to former and current U.S. and Middle Eastern government officials.

The initiatives, including a U.S.-backed plan to triple the size of a 10,000-man protection force in Saudi Arabia, are part of a broader push that includes unprecedented coordination of air defenses and expanded joint exercises between the U.S. and Arab militaries, the officials said. All appear to be aimed at increasing pressure on Tehran.

Then in March,this little tidbit...

 14 Mar 2010

Hundreds of powerful US “bunker-buster” bombs are being shipped from California to the British island of Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean in preparation for a possible attack on Iran.

The Sunday Herald can reveal that the US government signed a contract in January to transport 10 ammunition containers to the island. According to a cargo manifest from the US navy, this included 387 “Blu” bombs used for blasting hardened or underground structures.

Were not using these anymore in Iraq or Afghanastan, now on to May of this year we see this happening from Israel which I can assure you is tired of waiting on us as you will soon see.

Three German-built Israeli submarines equipped with nuclear cruise missiles are to be deployed in the Gulf near the Iranian coastline.

The first has been sent in response to Israeli fears that ballistic missiles developed by Iran, Syria and Hezbollah, a political and military organisation in Lebanon, could hit sites in Israel, including air bases and missile launchers.

The submarines of Flotilla 7 — Dolphin, Tekuma and Leviathan — have visited the Gulf before. But the decision has now been taken to ensure a permanent presence of at least one of the vessels.

Now heres where it starts to get really interesting on 6-19-10 The US carrier Harry S Truman strike group plus an Israeli ship entered the Red Sea through the Suez Canal.

More than twelve United States Naval warships and at least one Israeli ship crossed the Suez Canal towards the Red Sea on Friday, British Arabic Language newspaper Al-Quds Al-Arabi reported Saturday.

This strike group was reportedly just finishing up training with Israel for a Iranian attack and is now on course for Iran with several more ships expected to join the group 4 more American ships and two German ships!  Isreal has long been hampered in attacking Iran because of its problems securing a flight path  thats feasable well well well lets take a look at what just happened, shall we. This little tidbit was realeased on June 12th.

Saudi Arabia has conducted tests to stand down its air defences to enable Israeli jets to make a bombing raid on Iran’s nuclear facilities, The Times can reveal.

In the week that the UN Security Council imposed a new round of sanctions on Tehran, defence sources in the Gulf say that Riyadh has agreed to allow Israel to use a narrow corridor of its airspace in the north of the country to shorten the distance for a bombing run on Iran.

To ensure the Israeli bombers pass unmolested, Riyadh has carried out tests to make certain its own jets are not scrambled and missile defence systems not activated. Once the Israelis are through, the kingdom’s air defences will return to full alert.

Also of interest is the brand new spy satellite launched successfully by Israel today making a total of five admitted by Israel which probably means they have ten, lol. There is much much more going on in this situation like Iran barring weapons inspectors, coming out today and admittting to producing 17 Kilograms of furthur enriched uranium against un mandates and last but not least Iran sending a ship which wont suceed but none the less its the thought to attempt and run Israels blockade of Gaza. Then along comes this today.

In a rare move, Iran has declared a state of war on its northwestern border, debkafile's military and Iranian sources report. Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps men and equipment units are being massed in the Caspian Sea region against what Tehran claims are US and Israeli forces concentrated on army and air bases in Azerbaijan ready to strike Iran's nuclear facilities

I'm currently trying to find out more about the carrier strike group and is this just a normal deployment in order to relieve an existing carrier group which could well be the case. None the less its obvious time is running out for Iran, with the G20 this week and the situation with McCrystal today I dont see anything happening this week but maybe I'll check when the next new moon phase is as sparks it appears are soon to fly.
