Sales is one of the most lucrative professions in the world. Doesn't matter if you're selling Tv/Int/Phone, ice cream or ball bearings( of course it's all ball bearings these days), if you're good at selling it, you will make a lot of money.

If it makes you feel any better, the average cable/telco d2d rep probably makes between $40-60K a year.  The top 20% easially make over $100K, so yes top producers can make that kind of money, but then again most people aren't top producers.
