In the 70's I had an Airstream RV and also a motorhome. I spent 4 years with this my only home. For me an RV can be a real home. If something ever happened that left me single, the first thing I would do is move into an RV. My wife loves the RV life, but I need a spacious home to keep up with the family.
I am not up to date on pricing, but what are you getting for that 20,000 dollar RV. I found looking at older RV's you get a quick since of quality. If there is quality when it is built, than an 11 year old RV may really give the feel of a new one. If it is a dog, keep looking.
Potentially motor homes often are owned by 'no wanters'. (Bought for retirement and now unable to use, need to get rid of it.) A 'no Wanter' often will negotiate greatly on the price to get rid of it. (Owner financing many times is an option for someone that is a 'no wanter'.)
Put pictures of the RV on this site, you might find someone to buy it and make a buck for yourself.
