all of you guys missed the one major point of sweep....it is your REFERENCE. i went to sweep boot camp at WWG and you never use a reference more than 24 hours old if you want results. Ideally you should have a headend reference and a node reference stored daily on your meter. This eliminates human error (like the fuckers in the headend), temperature differential and equipment variances. Save the new reference as a different file and do an overlay if you have time. Also, make sure you are aware of any channel plan changes as these will drastically alter your profile. If you do find a problem, save the file before and after....makes getting paid easier.
I hope you enjoy sweep as much as I do....it is the most underrated job in cable as far as I am concerned.
