Yep the same thing happened in Alaska. The environmentalists would allow the ship to be blown. It caused more damage but still was clean within a couple of years. Fishing still happened the next year. Why people don't let the experts do what they know when there is an accident is beyond me. It has been since 1989 for the last bad spill and it may happen every 20 to 30 years but it wouldn't if they would let drilling happen closer to or on shore. Containment can be set up on land. This year a valve was being replaced on the pipeline and it leaked before they could stop it, but they had 2 containment areas set up and all the oil was collected and no damage occurred. The other spills in Alaska have been sabotage. Humans did it to themselves. No accident there.
