Re: MC2 vs Fused Discs

I have spliced both. The fused disk that I worked with was something like inch and a quarter, long time ago. Spliced the .500, .650, and .750 on the mc2. The theory on both types is that air is the best dielectric constant, however due to the equal spacing of the disks, a little time with wind load and thermal expansion and contraction, inevitable signal problems start to develop as the outer conductor starts to belly between the disks. For me the best stuff out there is quantum reach.
