Re: Verizon

Spliced for VZ for 5 years and when they were done with us they found a way to go around the Union and oust alot of good people.  The current number they want to cut is 12,000 but I'm not sure how they will pull that off.  If you are looking to become a splicer in IL then you are taking a job that is to backfill for the sale to Frontier.  From what I hear Frontier is supposed to honor the CWA Contract until it expires in August 2011...after that time there is certain to be paycuts to match the current Frontier pay scale.  That being said, if you can get on with Verizon, the pay and benefits are great and whatever works out with Frontier will be better than most other jobs out there today.
