Yeah that's BS. If he is taking General Liability out of your check, and turning around and back charging you for any damages claims. The general liability is supposed to cover you for any damages.
Also if you’re doing cable installs, you might be considered an employee and entitled to overtime wages. Most cable installers are misclassified; the biggest reason is because cable installers ARE GIVEN all the materials to complete the installs. Satellite installation companies are more slippery because they have to purchase their materials. Best bet is to contact a Labor Attorney in your State, just find some Attorney’s websites and drop them an e-mail asking them if you have a case and let them know how many other employees might jump on board, they will contact you right way if they think you have something.
