Re: Cellular internet

Did the aircard thing for 2 yrs..finally got smart and got a smart phone with Verizon. Everything you need in one small package. Took some gettin used too, but once you do, you won't do without it. I still carry my toughbook in the truck, but don't really need it other than to do my billiing and surfing at home.

I was skeptical at first but man it sure comes in handy with the gps, wireless networking, being able to check in my jobs, put my equipment on accounts and see my route and where I am at with one touch. E-mail notification rings for e-mails of cancelled jobs so I don't waste the drive time. Wife IM's instead of calls now so I can IM her back when I get a chance instead of having the phone tied up.     For me it has made alot of things easier..  The only disadvantages for me have been the battery life of the phones isn't the greatest, so you will need to charge often and close any programs or apps your not using to save some juice.. and the small screen takes some getting used too,

The newer Droids and HTC's have bigger screens and maybe a little longer battery life... hopefully so as I got the new Droid on the way..
