No the employer doesn't have final say. The reason they went to crimshield is to protect the MSO. They make the decision so that Crimshield takes the full liability. Whether you were hired or not falls completely on Crimshield. Potential employee can not sue (MSO) for not being hired and if employee later commits a crime and they find an unlawful past the MSO is still not held responsible. Old back ground checks were then sent to supervisors/vendor mgrs for approval. But not with Crimshield as they issue the badge directly.
