I never said it was feds. I said government. I would think it is a parent's choice if their child can have 1 piece of candy and NOT the schools. IF the schools don't serve it, fine but to punish a child for having it is insane. That ISN'T choice. It is the school telling you how your child is going to live and how you are going to raise them. You might be the frog in the water slowly heating to boiling and not know enough to get out or do something until it is too late. I also don't think "send you child to another school" is any kind of answer. If we are already paying for the schools then we should have some say so in what our child is disciplined for. A piece of candy is stupid. No other way than stupid.
