We set forward telemetry frequency to transfert the head end sweep equipment to talk to the field equipment. Some poeple like to use the frequency around +/- 50 to 52 MHz. The problem after a couple of amplifier the signal get low and is no longer capable of been pick-up by the field unit. This why I like to use 73.5 MHz. If you place it anywhere in the forward  band, you are actualy taking space on possible forward channel.
