Looks like very bad splicing practices. I hope that was a retro splice location. Looks like a 180 with 2 90s on the bottom of the splitter. Not necessary.  What size cable is that? Not QR is it? Surely that ss and old cable is from the old plant that didnt get wrecked out. Looks like a knot down there geez. It looks like they designed it with a 3 way for future build that was not there at the time of build so they just termed the 1 port. On a positive note, I like the GI. You got some good gear. Cant see inside the splitter but I hope they pulled power from that line term.
