Step 2: Call Samsung anyway. If this is a known issue, you may likely get warranty service.
Step 3: IF the TV is DRT (dead right there), buy a Vizio, it's all LG inside.
How do I know this?
I gave up CATV/DBS to go to school. Certified in DLP, LCD, PLP and even LED repair/diagnostics.
Ps: It is 95% likely you blew the Main Power Board. The other 5% is a bad display panel.
