Re: Plasma TV failure

Sorry to hear your plasma died.  The cost of fixing usually is more than the cost of a new TV.

For the longest time I've hated BestBuy ... Over charged for the product and bad service to boot.  Hate, hate, hate BestBuy.  Well ...having been placed in one of thier stores as a MSO rep, NOW is the time to get into BestBuy as the new tv models are coming in.  There are some great deals I see in there everyday.  You'll be surprised at the prices too.  The other nice thing I can recommend for anyone that does get a tv from there .... TAKE THE 4-YEAR BLACK TIE PROTECTION PLAN!!  If you're gonna drop $2k on a new TV, spend the extra $200 for it.  If anything happens to it (short of you putting a bullet through it), they come out and fix it.  If it can't be fixed, they replace it with a comparable new model.  Granted, all tv's come with a 1-yr manufacturer's warrenty, but if it breaks you have to spend to ship it to the manufacturer.  That alone can run over $200 bucks for a 50-inch TV.

So many peeps don't get it and they will wish they had.
