Got a call from one of the dish contractors who used to provide commercial work in the past until times got tough. Well, now they were in a bind and had a load of residential dish network jobs outside of my county that HAD to get done. They offered $70 for 1st receiver (including 2nd TV on dual-tuner boxes) + $15 for additional receivers. I said that even if I was living in a cardboard box under the freeway I would not bother for that crappy pay... considering fuel & supplies and the insane notion that I should include a 2nd TV for no additional pay. Whaaa?
So, they call back again... upping the pay to 90/15. No! Still not worth it. Hey, I'm doing custom dish & home theater & data & anything else work for way more than that minus the aggravation. So, they call back again offering $100/20. Still not great considering my other opportunities. But I finally took pity & agreed to take on some of those jobs for now and see what may come of this.
Held out for more.... & it worked!
