Some of the best I have had are former installers who have made the switch. Usually more honest with the customer, they know more specific answers to questions the customer may have, and usually have a beter work ethic. If you work an 8 hour day as an installer then sales would be a cakewalk for most of you as you are used to being at peoples homes anyway. Treat people like you would like to be treated yourself and you will do fine on the sales side...
