Using a remote controlled 4x4 is a really cool idea! I wish I would of thought of that in all my years doing this. If I ever find myself doing installs again, I'll use it. Would also need a camera for those nuts that decided to build a maze in the crawl space, lol. I have used a grab hook fastened on the end of sections of 10' 3/4" pvc conduit (bell on one end and very cheap) with as many sections stuck together as needed, many times to stay dry and clean.
In Michigan, where I worked in this business for many, many years during the first part of my involvement in cable, almost everyone has basements. But since then, I have noticed so many parts of this country don't have a basement on the houses, and for various reasons. Even when I would work where they have a lot of tornadoes, almost no one has a basement .... go figure, lol.
