I was just arguing one side of the topic. There is still money to made out there in this industry. Honostly, and fortunately for me, so far, I have had no issues in the short 10 years I have been here. I honostly dont agree with how prices can go up every year for the cable companies customers but the Contractors prices keep getting cut. And being back charged for a t/c when its because the DVR box is bad. Thats why 3 years ago I went to working inhouse for the Cable Company I use to Contract for. A little more stability. Lots of bene's, but a little less pay. I dont even pay for gas or have to maintain a vehice for work. I didn't break 6 figures like Bushmaster but with all the overtime, I wasn't that far off. So honostly, I do apologize for taking stabs at you or your work. You guys are probably the ones who actually do the job right. I was just venting a little. Unfortunately, I have been to tons of jobs where someone paid for a premium phone install and I show up 1 day later or 1 hour later to find the EMTA on the kitchen table. I can tell you all the hack stories. Like someone posted earlier if you take a job for an agreed amount, you should do the job right. If the pay isnt good or what you want, does not mean you can hack the job. And if the Commercial Job offer WAS thru Comcast and you did not take it. PM me. I might be able to talk ya into it! :} There is ALOT more bene's and small ways of making a few more bucks as a inhouse tech than I ever knew. Peace.
