I agree...it does seem impossible...but it is happening. I have a DSAM 6000 and this issue was also tested with 2 DSAM 2500s. I also have an SDA5000 that I didn't try. I've been curious if the box diags would show me there's an issue as well if hooked right up to the GB. I need to try to simulate this scenario to see if that would be the case.
Another wierd part about this is that I had the same exact levels on the frequency of interest at both places (+5dB) at the GB. Not sure if that matters though. I also attenuated the levels at the tap to be +5 and didn't see it there. Maybe some interference at the house messing with the meter? I did see an Off Air at 855MHz but nothing that would cause an issue with 849MHz.
