I calibrated the wrenches myself at 40 lbs/in thousands of times for a supply company that sold to the catv market and used them myself in the field and never stripped anything, not even close. 40 lbs/in is not that much. We sold thousands of them with certifications at 40 lbs/in. They were my old mans design and I remember them well. He did the machining and welding and I did the calibration and certifications myself when I was between jobs. I'd give a link but we didn't have a website back then. Mid 90's. Maybe todays Chinese made garbage strips at such little torque but I doubt it.
