Sorry, I had the caps on for a letter and forgot to take it off.

Where is my choice in this? Shouldn't I be able to buy food products not loaded with salt? There are not that many products for sale that don't contain a lot of salt.

If the FDA weren't around, these companies would be free to send tainted food products out (which they have done), or put whatever they please in to the food products to preserve shelf life. Remember the tainted peanut butter a couple of years ago?

All the FDA is stating is that the food manufacturers need to reduce the amount of salt that they use. Salt in moderation is good for you. Too much salt can be bad for you.
