Cable must pay enough if no one is going else where for MORE money???? Plus, most older techs I know are HACKS and have half the knowledge of the newer guys. Ive only been in the bizz for 10 years and never had issues with making good money. Maybe you guys are not good at this profession and need to find something else. Your probably just getting paid what your worth for once.
