Re: Cable installer sexually assaults customer

A man is accused of molesting a woman after showing up at her Minneapolis home to install cable. Melvin Rafael Cruz, 23, was charged with criminal sexual conduct.
Court documents say Cruz met a 19-year-old woman on a bus while he was wearing a Qwest uniform. He asked if she wanted cable services and filled out a work order, according to court records.
Police say Cruz showed up at the woman's home in northeast, later that day.
Minneapolis Police Sgt. Jesse Garcia said, "He went over to house, did the install and when he was finished, he went on sexually molest her."
After her attacker left, the woman called police. Police caught Cruz near Lowry Avenue NE and Central Avenue NE.
Qwest officials said Cruz works for one of their vendors, 20/20 Communications. They said the company is required to conduct criminal and sexual offender background checks and drug testing.
Qwest officials said Cruz's tests came up clean.
However, due to the charges, a spokesperson for qwest said "we have stopped all of 20/20's activities in Minneapolis" pending review.
Cruz is in jail. If convicted he could be sent to prison for up to ten years.
