Happens all the time in Alaska. That was what I always thought a suckout was until I started sweeping. I have taken connectors apart at an amp to replace the amp and as soon as I did the center conductor went back in half an inch. On call was not fun because of this. Usually happens when the temp drops rapidly to cold or when it just gets really cold. Like -10 to -35 or more.
