A point my friend is a unit of time for doing the job. I have seen systems that each point is worth 5 minutes and others that a point is worth 15 minutes and anything in between. When I was still managing a system I made each point worth 10 minutes with most days scheduled 40 points for the technician this gave him 8 points a day or 1 hour and twenty minutes for drive time, truck stocking, or coffee drinking if he wanted to work late. As long as they got the work done and hit the windows I did not give a damn. They always got the work done and I never had a problem and the techs were not being screwed.
