LOL....No one is going to jail for not buying health insurance.
The "fine" will be done via your 1040. Right now, everyone gets standard deductions on the 1040. If you are able to prove you have carried health insurance, you will get, let's say for example, a $5000 standard deduction. If you do not carry insurance, you would get a smaller deduction. Currently, the standard deduction you qualify for, depends on your filing status. Single, Married filing joint, married filing seperate, etc..... Insured or not insured will become new filing statuses.
Your right, this isn't a 2 solution argument. But you guys corner yourselves, when you make statements saying the goverment should NOT regulate private sector, and in the next breath you're saying the Dem President was crazy for deregulating the private sector.
