Me, waiving the party flag??? You guys are blaming the 2 two people that actually got legislation passed!! The GOP had 6 years and 3 different Congresses to address this issue. According to the Bush admin, since 2001, they requested Congress to act on Fannie/Freddie 17 times. Although the GOP controlled Congress and the WhiteHouse, the job didn't get done until the Dems gained the majority in Congress.
I have never said Dodd was not to blame. He should have found a way, as a member of the minority party, to bring legislation the Senate floor and have it voted on. lol....
