Re: Best options/equipt to deliver off-air service

No, at 80 miles you are pushing it if the antenna isn't high enough. But 5 systems locking on the same frame is a broadcaster issue. Depending on what the VHF actual RF channel is, the 4/8 bays still have no problem with reception. About 40 miles from the towers, VHF 10 is rock solid using a 4 bay UHF antenna. Local station's (VHF) chief engineer contacted me about a consultation for an antenna at the station. He laughed when I told him what he wanted but he bought a few and tested them in the field as well as the station itself. A few eeks later when the field tests came back with perfect reception, and the station getting every local OTA station flawlessly, he contacted me and apologized for laughing. His bosses are happy which makes him happy, and that makes me happy since I now have a broadcaster reference.

Good luck.
