OK L-BUG lets look back. Our first Republican President was Abe Lincoln, we know what he did. If not let me enlighten you. In 1860 many southerners (dems.) hated Lincoln, because he was anti-slavery and wanted it eliminated in the Democratic south. So 7 Democratic states voted to break away from the United States of America and create the Confederate States of America. In 1861 Confederate forces attacked Fort Sumter, starting the Civil War ( a war between the Republican north and the Democratic south). 620,000 men lost their lives because the Democratic south did not want to give up slavery and the profits it generated. After Lincolns assassination Andrew Johnson took over. Johnson (a Democrat) was a known racist and even said before Congress that African Americans were " inferior to the white man in point of intellect-better calculated in physical structure to undergo drudgery and hardship". He blocked many attempts by a Republican Congress to establish racial equality. Andrew Johnson was later impeached by the Republicans. Later in 1868 Nathen Bedford Forrest (a southern Democrat) founded the KKK and warned Republican leaders not to call out troops to fight the Klan. He said that all the Republicans in Memphis were marked for death. All over slavery and profit. And the Dems call Republicans racist? I can go on if you want? Theres alot of bad stuff in the Democratic party! You should learn this stuff L-BUG, your about to become a slave for government profit. Unless we stop it.
