Re: No one denied health care. WTF--- goodsky

Say for a second that you don't have insurance and you don't feel like your usual self. You go and see the doctor and he orders a battery of tests to determine what is wrong with you. The tests come back and your doctor tells you that you have cancer. How are you going to pay for the chemo? You don't have insurance, so how are you going to pay for it?

If you try and get health insurance with out "Obamacare" in place, you will be denied because you now have a "pre-existing condition". How are you going to pay for your treatments? Would you go ahead and seek treatment, knowing that there is no way in hell that you could ever pay for it? Or would you reject any treatment because you couldn't pay for it, and go off in the corner and die?

Having health insurance shows, that as an individual, you are being responsible for yourself in the event that you get sick. Your insurance will pick up about 80% of your medical expenses on average. Not having insurance shows, that you, as an individual, are not being responsible for yourself in the event that you get sick. You are expecting the rest of us to pick up your healthcare costs.

Health insurance is one of those things that you have to have, but hope that you never need, because God forbid, an illness can strike any one at anytime, and at any age.
