And there are just as many "experts" who will say the exact opposite.
All I know is that when Reagan cut them, revenues went up at least twice what they were before the cuts. Same when JFK cut them.
But even beyond that, if the federal government did not spend like a drunken sailor on shore leave, there would not be a need for these taxes. Why is it that congress is allowed to spend everything it wants to with no signs of fiscal restraint? If my household can't do it, why can they? It is our money after all. This whole line of thought is just one piece of the pie that is DC politics today. The pols don't feel responsible at all to the will of their constituents and have no respect for the laws and the Constitution at all. Healthcare is just another nail in the coffin of the 2 party system. It is destroying our country and I will not sit idlely by and let it happen.
