2 Democratic lawmakers have introduced legislation to grant 4 million convicted felons the right to vote, even though state laws prohibit them from doing so.
The Democracy Restoration Act (DRA) is federal legislation that seeks to restore voting rights in federal elections to the nearly 4 million disenfranchised Americans who have been released from prison and are living in the community. The bill was introduced by Senator Russell Feingold (D-WI) and Representative John Conyers (D-MI) as H.R 3335 and S. 1516
Although they claim it is to restore rights to felons who have served their sentence it does not address, gun ownership, employment in gov't agencies, or any other "right" they have other than to vote!!
Is it really about the felons rights or the vote they need??
Dems try new way to gain 4million votes in Nov.
