Re: No Vision

You guys sound crazy.  You're letting emotions do the thinking for you.

3rd party involvment will only hurt one party, the GOP. The only 3rd party threat is the tea party.  The tea party is a conservative party.  If the Tea Party candidates run in general elections, it will splt the GOP vote. I watched Hannity last night, and he was talking to Palin about this very thing.  The fact that 52% of Americans like the HC bill, or think the bill wasn't liberal enough, is goood news for the Dems.

Incumbents are in trouble on both sides.  There are alot of liberals upset with those "blue dog" democrats.  They want even more progressive candidates.  But all anti-incumbent things will happen in primarys.  Dems are praying the Tea Party runs candidates in general elections because it will split the GOP.

The GOP has a more reliable voter base, meaning they have people who always vote. If Dems can get people to the polls, November will not be that bad.  The dems are over exposed, meaning they are holding seats in the House they really shouldn't have.  So they will lose some seats.  But Im not convinced November will be the slaughter some are saying it will be, especially if Dems get out and vote.

Scott Brown's elections was pretty big for the GOP. But people forget that just 2 months before his election, Dems won a special election in NY's 23rd district. A district not won by a Dem in like 100 years.  One of the main reasons Dems won that election, was the invlolvment of the Tea Party & Sarah Palin.
