I live in the Mojave desert in Cali.  For military aircraft watchin', this is the place to be.  Edwards A.F.B. and N.A.S.A.'s Dryden Dry Lake research center is about 40 miles away, China Lake Naval Weapons Center is about 75 miles, Marine Corps Air-Ground training center at 29 Palms is about 75 miles, Ft. Irwin National Training Center is about 60 miles, Area 51 a little under 200,  Tonopah is less than that.  Miramar (used to be Fightertown TopGun school) about 100.  I swear there are days when the boys are flying, not a whole lot of plant gets built. I've seen the F-22 Raptor leave a F-16 in its vapor trail, Discovery night time landing. N.A.S. El Centro is the Blue Angels winter home.  B-2 is an awesome sight at sunrise or sunset. When I get bored, I go outside.  Not long before something catches my eye.
