Re: sweep?

 Sweep involves being able to read the traces and fix the problems that are existing or have been induced into the system through poor maintenence or improper splicing. Most sweepers are like apes, they only push a button to get a banana. A real sweeper will take the time to find and either correct the problem or turn it over to the system of whom you are working for, to generate work orders for span replacements. Documintation is also part of the work, so be prepaired for a lot of printing, or time on the PC to generate the documintation that your customer wants. And if you have to do QAM carriers you will need a lap top in the field to download at least twice to three times a day.
