I heard the same thing a lot of guy's quit or switched companies due to various reasons mostly management issues.
I think people are finally tired of the same old stuff of being ruled and regulated to death. The way i see it if you want to have a successful company you need to let your techs do their job without hawking over them all day and if you find you have one or two that don't want to perform up to par let them know they are not performing and if it doesn't improve replace them.
I know I perform much better without an inept supervisor climbing up my back and constantly bitching in my ear telling me he is going to back charge me if I fart in church just to make himself look good.
I believe it boils down to, "respect is a two way street and it is earned not given", I know I am extremely happy now that I made my move I have found a company that is what I like to call "Tech Friendly" and they realize that without a solid technician base they have nothing.
