I wish this was available when I had my fleet on the road, micromanagement is not the devil, its a bottom line world we live in. I recently worked for a company that had the GPS with forward and cab cameras, the sensitivty can be a bitch, ie, sudden stop.... picture of you and whats in front of you, speed bump same thing, bounce a curb to get best position for pole work....same thing.
These cameras record voice and video 10 seconds before and after an "EVENT", get in the truck to move a few feet, you better be belted in.
corporate can and will monitor you at random. Some companies have a three strike review as to why you constantly have "EVENTS" going off in your rig. Note: I don't work for that company anymore, have a perfect MVA for last thirty years, but when I look back on all the misuse of my vehicles, all the down time, total cost involved, would I use this technology if I were to start up business again? Hell yea!!!!
