What field are you in?  Cable or SAT?  So what do you want?  Come in when you want, do what work you want, and leave when you want.  Ohh and dont forget, pay me as much as I want. The part you do not understand is that the company that hired you expects to get what they pay for.  Also if you don't do your work up to par, they are held liable.  NOT YOU!!  Im not saying you do shitty work, but everything a independent does falls back on the company.  We used some independents last year for a college rush.  Worse mistake I ever made.  They blow in do shitty work, and are gone by the time the work gets QCed.  Who do you think it gets put on.  This is the main reason the Cable companies do not allow independents.
