I bet he is working a lot more then the 20 hours a week that they most likely do. Plus, I'm pretty sure that's sales and installs. Look at the volume of work he is doing! I'm sure he is also a contractor, with all the associated overhead. You have to factor that in too. Sounds very realistic to me, for someone with good skill and ability in sales/installs, working in the right market. You also have to remember, for every guy like him making 2500 a week, there are 5 guys doing the same thing and making 600/800 a week and starving.
