Because in litigation everybody gets sued. Plus the fact that they don't want their logos on the 6 o'clock news as "cable company truck crashes into school bus killing all 45 children on board because the driver of the cable truck was smoking crack, texting, had an IV drip of wild turkey in one arm and was shooting a bundle of dope in the other while driving" type of scenario.
