The war on drugs is a failed policy much like prohibition was. America will be forced to legalize most drugs as the fed is broke and cannot continue to fund itself. Were seeing this start to happen already with decriminalization on marijauna in many cities and states. Making just pot legal will solve much of this problem by taking the profit away from the drug cartels much like the end of prohibition ended the whiskey runners criminal empire. There is imo no other choice people are gonna do dope no matter the consequences and this will never end.
America much like Rome is collapsing under its own wieght (cost of beauracacy) and simply cannot afford to continue down the path we have been on. Legalize it, regulate it, tax it, and be done with it, thats my opinion on the matter and all this will go away.
