All state are slightly different. You start at your local court house. Apply for unemployment. Explain to them what you posted.
Make some notes of actual hours worked. If you have an employee manual that explains that stand by deal bring that. Did they pay you for the rest of the day if you finished by noon? If you were expected to report back to an office or be in touch by phone ready to work that is something else. Did they ever come up with late work?
Every state is different but not that different!
