>Eric, I got a piece of information from a guy in another field the other day. He said that he had the same problem in the past. His bank told him the low-down on how the banks process checks. If the check is drawn from a bank other than yours, you can cash the check at your bank (cash in your hand), then deposit the cash. When your bank accepts the check for cash, they are taking responsiblity of getting the cash from the other bank. They can't remove the cash from your account for your cash deposit. The only problems with this is that they won't accept another check from that employer if they have got stuck with it, and you have to have enough money in your account to get them to cash the check. Still, the money is in your account, your checks won't bounce, and you don't look bad, They Do!
