There are different levels of credit report checks. Potential employers are supposed to run ""secure scan" credit inquiries that do not flag on your personal credit rating. Now whether your new employer runs it correctly, or does it the cheap way--like gettin a buddy of his at "Buy Here Pay Here Auto Sales"-- is anybody's guess!
