These "goody-two-shoes" didn't get arrested and convicted of a felony. THAT'S why they're better...business wise.
That being said..I would have no problem with a guy with a past splicing, or mapping. I would have a huge problem with a convicted felon going into anybodys house.
I had a guy I knew, working at an installation company for me. I knew him for years before and was surprised to see him in the morning meeting when I came on. I knew he had a robbery conviction. But it was all "in the past". He worked his ass off and was always there to pick up extra jobs and help another guy out.
Guess who was at a customer's house when a videocamera went missing?
I announced to the whole crew about the incident. The videocamera showed up on their porch a couple of days later.
He was a good worker, he had a conscience...and he was a thief.
