I left it open deliberately - most people don't consider the dollars they can get from overtime. If you work 60 hours that week and you are an employee you need to make at least minimum wage which is currently 7 dollars twenty five cents (federal)-
You did not mention that a commissioned (or piece rate or even salaried) employee who installs cable has to be paid overtime for those extra 20 hours that week if he worked 60 hours- a sub contractor does not get a dime in overtime - it can be between $5,000 to $10,000 or more a year in overtime depending on a workers earnings. I feel this is a very important fact to communicate
If an employee uses his own vehicle the hours spent driving that vehicle from job site to job site is compensable time. Even if you are on piece rate (or commission or hourly) the hours you bill for driving your own vehicle as an employee will be more than enough to pay for mileage and gas expenses.
