But there is the rub. You cant get a license for nuke and nimby is a big problem too, then they shit can the Yucca Mountain repository for the waste, the evironmentalists are bitching about bird strikes with the windmills and dams hurt fish. So where do you go? The federal government puts out edicts and no guidence as to what to do. That is what I was speaking of.

I personally don't have issues with these technologies, but there is no cohesive guide as to what needs to be done and how the government will foster as opposed to say one thing and then do another. I am involved in alternative energy right now and it gets very frustrating when the left hand doesn't know what the right is doing and often give directly conflicting information.
