And the answer is........drum roll please.................It ends when all contractors/employees in cable actually band together and look out for each other rather than themselves, and walk the eff out the door and say "I'm mad as hell, and I'm not going to take anymore"
But as long as there is some dirt bag hack contractor out there that see's a walkout as an opportunity of "more jobs for me mon" it'll never happen.
